Michael Ruhlman is one of the most talented and prolific food writers in the world today. He has written 21 books, and has collaborated with top chefs such as Thomas Keller, Eric Ripert and Anthony Bourdain. He wrote three books about the evolution of a chef: The Making of a Chef, The Soul of a Chef and The Reach of a Chef.
He has collaborated with superchef Thomas Keller on all his books- The French Laundry Cookbook, Bouchon, Under Pressure: Cooking Sous Vide, Ad Hoc at Home, and Bouchon Bakery. Additionally, he co-wrote the beautiful A Return to Cooking with chef Eric Ripert, and contributed to the Alinea cookbook with Grant Achatz.
Michael has also written several books on techniques- The Elements of Cooking, Ratio and the 2012 Beard Award winning Ruhlman’s Twenty. On TV he has appeared as a judge on Cooking Under Fire, and on The Next Iron Chef. He has also had numerous appearances on his friend Anthony Bourdain’s A Cook’s Tour and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.
This evening Executive Chef Adam Siegel and Chef de Cuisine Todd Moore will prepare a great meal from Michael’s newest books, and Michael will speak on his books and his culinary journey-a VERY special evening for professional and amateur cooks alike, as well as those who just like to eat!
